- The Illinois Association of County Board Members and Commissioners (IACBMC) has released its 2009 Salary and Benefits Survey. This survey is undertaken to assess the wages and salaries of county government officials and employees in Illinois. The rate of response is 50% of the county governments in Illinois and represents a cross section of budget sizes and populations. The survey presents a compilation of salaries paid for more than 200 different job classifications in county government. It is the most comprehensive survey of its kind in the state, providing counties with comparable data to assist them in determining equitable wages and benefits for their employees.
